Dr. Dobranic is an accomplished mycologist (fungal ecology) with publications in peer reviewed mycological journals (Mycologia, Canadian Journal of Botany) as well as having presented his research at national and international conferences. His expertise includes identification of microorganisms from environmental samples. His management emphasis has been on maintaining the highest level of quality assurance possible. Dr. Dobranic is a member of the Mycological Society of America, the Environmental Information Association, and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.

Dr. Lori Daane, EMSL Analytical, Inc. - New York, NY
Dr. Daane received her Ph.D. in Microbial Ecology from the University of Minnesota where she studied the influence of earthworms on microbial survival, transport and gene transfer in the environment.  She continued her research in microbial ecology working as a postdoctoral research associate at both Rutgers University and Los Alamos National Laboratory.  While at Rutgers, she studied the influence of plants and plant-associated microorganisms on the degradation of polyaromatic hydrocarbons in the NY/NJ harbor system.  At the Los Alamos National Laboratory her work focused on microbial community analysis using molecular fingerprinting techniques. She has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and was awarded two journal highlights from the American Society for Microbiology.  Dr. Daane currently is a member of the editorial review board for the journal Applied and Environmental Microbiology and participates in several professional organizations including the American Society for Microbiology and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.  Before joining EMSL Analytical, Inc. in April 2002, Dr. Daane worked at a major Personal Care Company where she was responsible for research and development of novel preservative systems and detection methods for microorganisms.
